Why should you book a photo session?
If you've come to my page, you're already considering booking a session. But maybe you're second guessing if you should, maybe you're wondering if it's really worth it. You're asking yourself ‘why should I book a photo session?’
Well, there’s a few reasons and everyone will put their own varying degrees of importance on each one.
It’s nice to have nice photos.
When is the last time you took photos that weren’t in the form of a selfie or using your shoe as a tripod for your phone? Or what about that time your Mom asked for a photo to put on the wall and you scrambled to find something good to send her? Sometimes, it’s nice to have nice photos. It’s nice to be intentional and set aside time for a couple or family outing to remember. It’s nice to get dressed up and go to a special location for photos. It’s nice to not have to think about what to do, but be given slight direction and let your natural movement take over. It’s nice to have photos interacting with your family or significant other instead of just saying “cheese.” It’s nice to get back a full gallery of quality photos that express who you are. It’s nice to have nice photos.
It’s nice to have nice prints of nice photos.
Your photos don’t have to live on your phone. It’s nice to be able to print your photos and hang them in your home to see regularly. You need a high quality resolution image to print, which is what you will receive after doing a session with me! When you have nice photos, you can print them for all sorts of reasons. You can get a large print to hang in your living room, or small prints to put on your desk at work. You can add them to a photo album or use them to start a photo album. You can even use them for your holiday cards! The point is, physical photos feel different than digital photos. It makes the moment feel more real, more tangible, and more memorable. (If you’re looking for quality prints in Knoxville, I highly recommend F32!)
It’s a great excuse to get the family together.
For my family, it is so difficult to get everyone together all the time. Sure, we meet up for birthday celebrations and the occasional holiday, but as our family has grown and moved out of the same town, it’s getting harder to catch everyone at the same time. Especially dressed up! Scheduling a family photo session and setting aside intentional time to just be together, outside of an occasion, was the best way to gather everyone and still create fun memories. Plus mom finally got an updated family photo for the wall!
It’s a great opportunity to pop the question!
If you're planning on proposing, you can use a photo session as a great opportunity to pop the question and capture the whole moment! The photo session is the excuse to dress up. Then you can pick a special and beautiful location, and create memories that you will hold on to forever. (Just use the reasoning that you don't have any recent, nice photos together. Or I'll act like it was a model call or whatever reason we need to think up!)
It’s a great way to express yourself.
Calling all seniors! You can use your photos as a way to express who you are and where your interests lie. You can decide to take your photos in a location that holds meaning for you, bring items that you care about so we can put them on display, and do whatever poses feel comfortable to you! If you want to get glamor shots or lean into the artistic poses, I am here for it! Use your photos as a way to express yourself and your individuality. You are unique, and that should shine through in your photos!
So there are just a few important reasons why you should have a dedicated photo session, but certainly not all of the reasons. The rest is up to you! Contact me to schedule your session and get the beautiful photos you deserve.
